reScribe Support

reScribe is an AI meeting recorder for iPhone — put your phone on the table, record the meeting, and get back a transcript plus a summary with key points, decisions, and action items.

Cancelling your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancelling happens in your iPhone settings — not in reScribe. We can't cancel it for you.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Tap reScribe
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancelling stops future charges. It doesn't refund the period you've already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.

If you're on a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your account

In reScribe: Settings → Delete account

This permanently deletes every recording, transcript, summary, scheduled meeting, tag, and setting, along with your account itself. It cannot be undone and we don't keep a backup.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel that separately, in your iPhone settings, using the steps above.

If you can't delete your account in the app, email support@picturesquesales.com and we'll do it for you.

A recording didn't transcribe

"Saved — transcription will resume with your subscription"

Your subscription has lapsed, or you've used your 30 hours for the month. Your audio is safe. Transcription resumes automatically when your subscription is active or your next month starts. Pull down on the Memos list to check again.

Stuck on "Uploading"

Usually a weak connection. The app retries automatically, including the next time you open it. If it's still stuck after a while, open the memo and use the Discard option — but note that discards the audio.

It says part of the recording wasn't transcribed

Something interrupted recording, or the audio was too unclear in places. reScribe tells you when this happens rather than quietly pretending otherwise.

Nothing happened at all

Check your connection and open the app again. If a recording sits unprocessed for more than a few minutes with good signal, email us.

Supported languages

English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Hindi — with more supported by the underlying transcription service.

Set your language in Settings → Language. There are two settings:

Transcripts are always word-for-word in the language spoken. They're never translated.

The AI got something wrong

It will sometimes. Speech recognition mishears words, and speaker detection guesses who's talking based on how voices sound. Background noise, quiet speakers, distance from the phone, crosstalk, and accents all make it harder.

reScribe is built on the assumption that this happens, so you can fix it:

Wrong words — tap any line to edit it. Works on the transcript, the summary, key points, decisions, and action items.

Wrong speaker — tap a speaker's coloured circle and pick the right person. Changes that one turn only.

Two people in one turn — tap the text, put your cursor where the second person starts speaking, and tap Split here. Then assign who said it.

Listen while you read — play the audio on the transcript screen and tap any timestamp to jump straight to that moment. Easiest way to check something before you correct it.

Start over — the memo's menu has a Reprocess option that runs the whole recording through again. Note this discards any edits you've made.

Other things you can do yourself

Get a recording out of the app — open a memo, tap Share, and choose Create PDF, Copy as Markdown, or Save audio file.

Find something — search from the Memos list, or search within a single transcript.

Ask a meeting a question — open a memo and tap "Ask about this meeting." Answers come only from the transcript, with tappable timestamps so you can verify them.

Import audio you already have — tap Import audio on the Memos screen. Works with voice messages, exported calls, and most common audio files.

Turn notifications off — Settings → Notifications lets you control meeting reminders, interruption alerts, and time-limit notifications separately.

Lock the app — Settings → Face ID requires your face or passcode to open reScribe.

Check your usage — Settings → Subscription shows how much of your 30 monthly hours you've used and when it resets.

Recording other people

Recording laws vary by state and country. In Florida and several other states, everyone in a conversation must consent before it can be recorded. Elsewhere one person's consent is enough. Workplaces, schools, and medical settings often have their own rules.

Knowing and following the law where you are is your responsibility. If you're unsure, ask a lawyer.
